West London · Permanent

The opportunity

Combine direct access to clients with workplace consultancy inside an established commercial design and build business. This opportunity connects the understanding of how people use their workplaces with the capabilities to design, build and adapt those spaces.

Based in West London, this permanent Workplace Consultant role places you in a team of three workplace consultants. You’ll bring practical project delivery experience to a business with a strong industry reputation and an offering that extends from workplace strategy through to ongoing support after completion.

What you'll do

Your focus will be delivering workplace consultancy projects, working directly with clients and alongside the junior consultant. You’ll provide the experienced delivery capacity that allows the Head of the function to focus on securing new business.

The organisation’s workplace strategy approach combines behavioural science, data and observation to understand business requirements and how people use their offices. This gives your consultancy work a clear context: understanding what clients need from their workplaces within a business equipped to turn those requirements into physical spaces.

You’ll contribute within a focused consultancy team, with design, construction and building services capabilities forming part of the wider organisation. The emphasis is on hands-on project delivery and client involvement, rather than a role centred on winning new work.

What you'll get

The salary is £65,000–£75,000, plus an annual bonus dependent on business unit performance.

You’ll be based in the West London office five days a week. The business offers well-appointed offices and a company social offering that includes an annual ski trip, making this an opportunity for someone who values an office-based working arrangement and social activities with colleagues.

You’ll join a recognised name in the sector, with strong access to clients and the opportunity to remain closely involved in consultancy delivery.

What you'll need

You’ll need workplace consultancy experience and the capability to deliver projects within a team. Your experience should equip you to work confidently with clients and contribute effectively alongside a junior colleague.

The emphasis is on practical consultancy experience. You should be comfortable applying that experience within a design and build contractor, where workplace strategy forms part of a broader service rather than a standalone consultancy offering.

About the company

The company works in commercial workplace design and fit-out, serving office occupiers and landlords across a range of industries. Its services span workplace strategy, office design and build, furniture consultancy and ongoing maintenance.

Project managers coordinate costs, programmes, technical teams and construction activity. In-house mechanical and electrical engineering capabilities support the integration of ventilation, lighting, plumbing and data infrastructure, with commissioning, testing and compliance checks forming part of handover.

Its involvement continues after completion through maintenance, alterations and smaller projects, helping clients adapt their workplaces as business needs change.
