Central London · Permanent
The opportunity
Join a growing commercial interiors business where workplace design sits alongside fit-out, engineering and construction expertise. This permanent Senior Interior Designer role offers £85,000–£95,000 and a place in a close-knit team in central London.
The opportunity brings together a workplace design and build setting, a business with capabilities extending from interior upgrades to wider transformations, and a fun office environment. It offers a setting for your established design experience within a company that connects design development with the practical delivery of commercial spaces.
What you'll do
Your role sits within the business’s workplace design and build offering. The wider company brings together design development, technical drawings, construction coordination and installation, rather than treating interiors as a standalone design service.
Its work includes office interiors and shared reception spaces, alongside retail premises. That breadth provides context for the design function: the business works with both the appearance of a space and the technical and operational requirements behind it.
What you'll get
The salary is £85,000–£95,000, with a percentage bonus on projects you work on.
You’ll be based in a convenient central London location, with four days a week in the office and one day working from home. This gives you regular time alongside colleagues while retaining a home-working day each week.
You’ll join a close-knit team with a fun office environment, within a growing brand in commercial interiors.
What you'll need
You’ll need at least four years’ experience in workplace design within a design and build environment. This is a specific requirement for experience in that delivery setting, rather than interior design experience alone.
Experience dealing with external design consultants and architects is also essential. Your background should demonstrate familiarity with working across those professional relationships in addition to your workplace design experience.
About the company
The business provides commercial interior design and construction services, combining workplace design, fit-out, engineering and main contractor capabilities. Its projects range from upgrades to more extensive transformations, with delivery involving collaboration with client-appointed designers and specialist equipment suppliers.
Its office work includes custom lighting, raised access flooring, underfloor ventilation, glazing, meeting rooms and bespoke joinery. In retail environments, it coordinates building services and equipment around operational requirements.
Sustainability is a stated focus, supported by examples of material reuse and recycling. The business also designs spaces intended to support workplace wellbeing and engagement.
