Project Director EU

Broaden your remit across European design-and-build projects in a permanent Project Director role. £110,000–£140,000 plus circa £15,000–£30,000 commission. Based in Central London five days a week, with European travel.

Central London · Permanent

The opportunity

Bring your client-facing experience into a Project Director role with responsibility across the full lifecycle of European design-and-build projects. This permanent opportunity offers a broader remit and varied work, extending your involvement beyond the early project stages while keeping client relationships central to your role.

You’ll join a well-regarded workplace design and construction business with strong leadership. For someone seeking a change from a solely UK-focused portfolio, the opportunity combines an international project remit with a Central London office base.

What you'll do

Your remit will cover pan-European workplace design-and-build projects, taking a client-facing role from pre-contracts through the subsequent design stages, and then to tender or pitch.

You’ll bring your understanding of the client’s requirements to that wider remit, connecting your pre-contracts experience with the work that follows. This gives you the opportunity to stay involved as projects move from initial proposals into delivery and completed workplaces.

The business brings design, technical and construction disciplines together within an integrated delivery model. Your role will sit across those project stages, in an environment where design management, cost control and programme coordination support delivery. The European portfolio adds variety to that work, with travel forming part of the position.

Initially alongside the wider PD team you'll start on smaller projects, valued between £500K and £1M. Once settled in you'll work your way up to full sized jobs in the £1-6M range.

What you'll bring

You’ll need a client-facing pre-contracts or design background and an interest in taking on a full-lifecycle Project Director position. Experience of working directly with clients is central to the brief, together with the motivation to extend your responsibility more widely.

The following experience is desirable:

  • Six years’ experience in either pre-contracts or interior design.
  • Experience with a mainstream, top-10 design-and-build business.

You’ll also need to be comfortable with the stated Central London office pattern and European travel.

The package

The salary is £110,000–£140,000, with circa £15,000–£30,000 commission in addition.

This is a permanent position with a five-day-a-week Central London office pattern and European travel. It is an office-based opportunity, so the London commitment and the practical demands of travelling should both fit the working lifestyle you want.

You’ll also benefit from joining a business with a good reputation and strong leadership, providing an established setting in which to take on the broader responsibilities of the role.
