Central London · Permanent
The opportunity
Bring your own creative perspective to a business that designs and delivers workplaces. This permanent Graphic Designer role gives you a varied remit beyond interior design, from helping communicate project proposals to creating social content and developing client brand identities where needed.
Based in Central London, you’ll join a growing team with access to good clients and work connected to projects ranging from smaller office upgrades to extensive workplace transformations. The opportunity is to apply your graphic design skills across different audiences and formats, in a business where understanding a client’s brand is part of the wider design approach.
What you'll do
You’ll provide graphic design input alongside the business’s interior design capability. Your work will help translate ideas and information into visual material that is clear, creative and appropriate to its audience, whether that is a prospective client reviewing a bid or someone engaging with the company on social media.
The remit brings together business-facing communications and client-facing creative work:
- Help create tender and bid documents, bringing a clear visual structure to material that explains the business’s proposals and capabilities.
- Develop presentations that make ideas easy to follow and give the content a coherent visual treatment.
- Create graphics for social channels, adapting your approach to the format and the message being shared.
- Work with clients to develop their brand identity where necessary, responding to their requirements rather than applying the same visual approach to every brief.
These are related but distinct design challenges. A bid needs to communicate information clearly, while social graphics need to convey a message in a different context. You’ll have the opportunity to bring genuine creativity to both, with client branding adding another dimension to the role.
What you'll get
The salary is £40,000–£50,000. You’ll work four days a week in the Central London office and one day from home, combining regular time with colleagues with a home-working day.
The business offers a fun, close-knit company culture and a growing team. Its vibrant office location also provides a setting for enjoying both the working day and the social side of office life.
Access to good clients is another draw. Alongside the company’s own communications, the remit includes opportunities to work directly with clients on their brand identity when required. That gives you a mix of internal and external creative work without limiting the role to one type of output.
What you'll need
You’ll need three years’ experience in graphic design and a portfolio that demonstrates genuine creativity. Your work should give a clear sense of your visual thinking and how you turn ideas into effective design, rather than simply showing a collection of finished assets.
Ambition and a can-do attitude are important. You should be interested in contributing across the confirmed remit, from tender documents and presentations to social graphics and client branding, and willing to engage with the different creative demands each brings.
A growth mindset and a love of learning are also essential. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to keep developing their craft and is curious about how graphic design can support a workplace design and fit-out business.
About the company
The business operates in commercial workplace design and fit-out, providing office design, refurbishment, engineering and main contractor services. Its wider offering includes furniture, aftercare, sustainability advice and change management, supporting clients through both physical workplace changes and the transition into new ways of using their space.
Its design approach starts with understanding each client’s requirements, brand and working practices. Collaboration, efficiency and staff needs inform the design, whether the project is a smaller upgrade or a more extensive transformation.
Construction delivery includes dedicated project and site management, weekly project meetings and regular site updates. The company also refurbishes offices while clients remain operational, aiming to limit disruption. Workplace transition advice covers communication planning, workshops and feedback, while sustainability considerations include recycled materials and accredited suppliers.
